Green Tea Can Avoid Cancer

Antioxidant rate in green tea is very high compared with other vitamins even it is 400-1000 times more potential. But it does not mean that it can cure cancer. Antioxidant only functions to avoid the degenerative illness including cancer, heart disease, stroke, etc. The content of EGCG in green tea can impede the work of DHFR (dihydrofolate reductase) enzyme. This DHFR enzyme in excessive amount can cause DNA replication and triggers the uncontrolled growth of body cells which finally can cause cancer. To get the ability of EGCG to bind that enzyme, we have to get it in high dosage which is available in green tea. The more malignant and the more serious the cancer is means more EGCG dosage. It can be 10-20 times higher than maintence dosage.

What Is The Difference Between Black Tea And Green Tea?

Green tea is produced from the tea sprout that is processed without fermentation process or without heating and oxidation. That’s why we can get optimum polyphenol active content such as ECG (Epicatechin gallate) or EGCD (Epigallo catechin gallate). Both of these contents have important role as antioxidant, anti cancer, anti cholesterol, cardioprotector, to increse endurance and anti aging properties, and much more. While black tea is taken from tea sprout that is fermented so the catechin contents is not optimum, only 30-40% of gree tea. Based on research there is no evidence that black tea can reduce cholesterol. And if it is any, it should be very individual and cannot be generalized because it hasn’t been proved scientifically.
